I have a 1996 200sx SE-R as you can see in my sig.. I really wanna put a turbo onto the beast. I've went JGYCustoms, now here is the question. I want to turbocharge the car, but I'm looking into a GTI-R perferably, but i didnt know how hard it would be to get it into my car.. Which turbo would you guys perfer, good quality and good amount of power.

Slap a gti-r t28 setup on your ride...I see in your sig that you have a 96 so I figure your car shouldn't have too many miles on it.

My car only has 58,000 miles on it. I got it from an autobody shop, it was totalled out and they rebuilt it.. The car has ran smoothly, i've had it for almost 2 years this coming up March..

I have a BB U13 (fmic), but I would have like an Avenir for the T28...

If you do either, PM me, I'll come help out. Calum from East TN is going BB DET, so you might hit him up for advice.

Im still debating adding a T25 to my motor, so Id love to be involved in the process beforehand.

Yup, thats what I'm 70K miles on the car, by the time I got the whole setup.

About 280 HP with S4's, 370 CC injectors, JWT 4 Bar, GTIR T28, UR 4 Pulley set, 2.5" Turbo back exhaust, with high flow cat. Also either a TTZ maf or bored stock maf

And thats my limit, I dont plan on going over 300HP, if I do then it will be in a different car.

What do you guys think about the hot shot kit? I kind of want a kit because of ease of instal. I am probably going to use lower comp. pistons and det/nismo full valve train, upgraded cams, and a better head gasket. At very least kit, valvetrain, and head gasket of course lower boost than with the pistons 8-10psi maybe.

I dont know what should i do?

Why does everybody swap in the det engines are they that cheap or what?

Wouldnt it be cheaper just upgrade a few things like pistons and such?

How much do all the diff. varyants of the sr20det sell for?

Would one of these be better than my plans of the kit, pistons, and valvetrain?

At most with pistons and proper tuning/management/and all of the other components on race gas i was thinking about 15-18psi?

hotshot.com  jwt kit:confused: f-max too overpriced

How much is your budget and how much hp are you looking for? The work your doing is asking for some serious hp. I suggest you read through some of the post in this forum... Do a search on kits, I think this was discussed before, should give you some more info.

Kits aren't easier to install, installationis the same, its just that you buy one thing, while piecing together a kit, you purchase everything separate.

I will be getting the INCON turbo shortly. I want 11s on the stock block and full interior. Maybe later i can hit it with N2O and some forged pistons, and really get kicked out.

I want a T-28 setup. I've started piecing it together already. Can't wait till next spring, hehe.

Ditto, working on things I can benifit from now, like cams, motor mounts, exhaust, and pulleys...

Got a savings plan about $125 month... enough for a nice turbo by the time it gets warm again....
