Hey guys,

I've been on here for quite sometime, I don't post much, but I creep on here quite often.

Anyway, I have a VE in my G20 and I need to get a few problems figured out. Ones I've actually searched for and haven't found much info on.

First off, I have a few intense oil leaks. One of them is at the dizzy. I tried to pull the dizzy off and apply some silicone grease to the o ring to get it to seal better. It almost seems like the oil is coming out between the cap and the dizzy body, which seems odd.... any thoughts?

Next, when I try to crank it over, a lot of the time it clicks, click click click.... but then it seems to start just fine after a few clicks. The starter isn't slow or whiny or anything of that sort. I was wondering if there could be a bad connection somewhere, or if it's the brushes in the starter like some of the threads on here imply.....

Odd question, is there any markings on a 16VE flywheel that designate it as such? I was told that I have one, not in the car, and I would like to verify it prior to spending the money on resurfacing and putting it in the car.

Any help from you all would be great. Thanks guys.

i believe the oil leak is coming from the inside of the actual distributor center section. basically, the spinning part. there is suppose to be a seal/o-ring you can replace, but i don't know much about that. i have replaced the outer o-ring that goes into the head and that did not stop my leaks from the same area.

as for the starting problem, that is from the starter solenoid. a new/good used one will fix the problem. i believe there is a way to fix that problem by replacing the contacts. where to get those contacts, i don't know.

as for the sr16 flywheel, why not just weigh it? just search for the weight on it somewhere around this forum.

the flywheel should be somewhere around 16lbs vs de being 18-19lbs
