Last Saturday I pulled away from my house, took two rights and then when I tried to get into 3rd it just wouldn't go and the clutch felt heavy and a bit crunchy. I came to a stop at the intersection of a big avenue luckily very close my house and stalled to a stop. At first I thought it was a clutch cable or a bracket that broke, but now I think it is the throw out bearing since I can't see any problems with either of those things.

I was able to put it in first with the engine off, crank the motor and get going. The car still ran fine, although with a bit of a whirring noise, as I synced my shifts to get home.

It has been parked in front of my house since then waiting for me to do something.

I think it is time to let this car go. I put it for sale in the cars for sale section, and I started writing this thread just now to ask for advice about fixing it, but I really think its time. It is funny, I have been told by a million and one people that I "deserve a better car already", and "get rid of that thing" but I just love driving it. It is very hard to let it go. It has treated me well, but if someone on this forum wants to offer me some money for it, it should run great for anyone that wants to fix it and I know they will do the best they can with it.
