: NEED HELP WITH ARP HEADSTUDS

Im replacing head studs and head gasket on my redtop sr20det in a 91 240sx fb. and was wondering if anyone knows the tourq specs for the arp headstuds and is there a 3 stage tourq step? Also was wondering for the headstud nuts whats the tourq for those if anyone knows?

i thought the ARP's were bad? somthing about them not bottoming out in the block or ******...i dont know...but people use the golden eagle rods from a B series honda engine....


about the TQ specs......you should download a FSM ....it has all the info you need.....sorry i cant be of more help

i have the fsm for the sr motor but wasnt quite sure weither i should fallow the specs on the fsm or arp had thier own tq specs that im suppose to fallow to get a proper tq, ive heard people use them and had luck and some good reviews, have them but havent installed them but ill check out the golden eagle rods and thats from the b13 motor right? do you know what yr would be the best or perfer?

How'd you get on with the ARP headstuds? Did you find any info on the torque settings? I just bought some today and will be installing them in the next few weeks so it would be very helpful to know. Cheers.

If using Nissan headbolt, then follow the FSM.

If using ARP headstud, then call ARP and follow their spec.

Don't use Nissan FSM torque sequence for the ARP headstuds.

Use a allen socket to get the studs onto the block.
