can i fit a set of 195/60/14's on stock '91-94 se-r rims? if yes, would it totally change the ride characteristic? more importantly, would it in any way be a detriment to the normal handling of the car?

I believe you should be able to. The ride difference with that close of a size of rim will probably be more dependent on the kind of tire you put on as opposed to the difference in the size. It should fit fine and you will not even really notice a difference in your speedometer reading.

Sounds like he wants Azenis. That is the smallest they make in a 14. I think;)

Your speedo will be off a bit. go to se-r.net there is a little chart that will tell you the precentage that is off. Kelway has those on his NX, size and azine's. for proper speedo you want 195/55/14 but if you dont care then it doesnt matter. problem is there are only like 2 or 3 tires that come in that size anymore.

nope, no azenis here. i have been driving on ghetto ass (and when i say ghetto, i mean GHETTO ASS) pep boys special tires. the tires came with the car when i bought it and i never got around to changing them. i *slid* thru an intersection in midtown manhattan during a light drizzle one day and have decided that i need new tires before the first snowfall. my buddy ltrain happened to have a set of good years rs something or others in his garage. they have pretty good tread left on them. probably will slap on some 15's when spring rolls around. btw, how do i go about removing tires from a rim? i'd like to sand/paint the 15s before i put new rubber on them.

You will have to go to a tire shop to have the tires removed from the wheel. I used to mount tires as a job.
