hey is anyone else having problems with their trucks either sticking up higher then the of the back or to far back where it kinda bounces up and down when driving while its closed? and im also getting alot of water in my trunk when it rains. Yet my moldings are new.. im confused, i have aligned my trunk already but it still seems to be off. and i also end up with a "pool" in my trunk.

Your not the only one with that problem.
My trunk lid is sits more towards the right (passenger side) leaving a big gap on the left side. Bounces up n down when driving over harsh roads and bumps, Water gets in and since I have an r32 spoiler which is super heavy puts to much weight down on one and I think water seeps through the moldings near the rear windshield.

Check your tail lights thats where its leaking from. add some silicone to the edges

its not that theyre cracked. its that sometimes someone changes the tails or removes them and doesnt put the silicone on the outside of it so it leaks into the trunk.

over time the seal around the tail lights will leak. go to your local automotive paint store and ask the for a roll of windshield adhesive. it has a tar like texture that doesnt dry. it will be easier to remove(than silicone), if you should need to replace a taillight. its pretty cheap too.

First thing sounds like your trunk latch is worn or out of position, check the bottom first and see where that sits relative to the body sheet metal - above, even, below it? Then inspect the trunk latch. They do wear out. Also check your trunk rubber "stand-offs" (what I call the rubber pieces that help keep your trunk and hood level and supported). If they're torn or turned to rock-like hardness you can replace them. Trunk Latches are not so much from a dealer but if you have access to a boneyard I'd go there first.
And the tails, yes, I had to re-seal mine, apparently rain not so much an issue in 2007 in SoCal, they were leaking plenty of water on one side, a little on the other. Also helpful if you take everything out of the trunk so you can see where the leaks are coming in. Silicone is quick but the material that remains sticky is better over the long haul.

Striker. That's the part that is adjustable. Could be loose or too high.
Look up trunk lid striker adjustment in the FSM.

I just did this. Combined with new OEM-rubber bumpers (stand-offs) on the bottom of the trunk itself.
It made a WORLD of difference on how my trunk closes. Solid, firm, no more rattles, squeeks, or up-and-down movement of any sort over bumps.
As for the leaks, the two primary spots (tails and trunk surround) have already been addressed.
BTW...the "black goop" is officially called "dum dum." No I am not kidding. That is what the body-shop guys call it, and it is very, very tough to find at auto-parts stores. A local body shop may sell you some.
