A friend of mine told me that he had gotten a bunch of t3/t4e's out of a junkyard for $50 each. He said that they came off of mid-eighties thunderbird turbocoupes. In doing some research I found that some turbocoupes had t3's and some had other turbos. I'd be willing to buy it for $50 if I knew that it was a t3/t4 or even something that could be fairly easily used in a turbo project for my classic. I haven't seen any of these turbos yet but will be shortly. Just wondering if anyone has any info on this and would like to help me out.

Im almost positive they never came with a T3/T4. If i recall correctly the turbo is an IHI.

Yes, T3's on the Thunderchickens. The Merkur XR4Ti is also a T3, same motor. IHI turbo's are common on Mazda/Ford and Subaru products.

Yea I did so more research and saw that they either came with t3's or IHI's. I'll look around for t3 specs cause I'm not sure I want to pass these up for 5o bucks. Thanks agagin guys.

they wont fit on a gtir manifold because its a T3 turbo anf the manifold is flanged for a T28 or T25
