hello
i have a det in my car and i am hearing a whistling sound that is coming from the wastegate. i am also loosing boost. i am thinking the Wastegate Diaphragm needs to be replacement. i dont seem to see alot of info on the forum relating to this topic. any input would be appreciated

will a rebuilt fix my problem if it comes to that

Look for boost leaks too man a ripped or torn coupler will create that noise to and hence your boost loos but if its a sound kinda like a siren then the turbo is on its way out and that sound is the blades making contact with the housing. If its a T25 just look around on the forums for a decently priced used one. If you are in florida give Mikes turbo a call they are decently priced and they do damn good work or you could just rebuild it yourself I believe Cliff aka Tekkie did a write-up about this.
