I believe there's just a power and ground to each one and they're activated by an rpm switch.

yeah thats why i need a diagram so i can find which wires from the ignition that they run off of also to see the difference between the sensor pins in a de and a ve

They are ground switched on Pins 102 and 106 of the ECU and are fed a constant 12V.

is that on a de ecu???

The DE ECU is not able to perform the switching. That information is for a VE ECU.

On AUDM SR20DE ECU, those 2 pins are blank/unused in the harness and thus an SR20VE ECU plugs straight in and pins can be added to the harness and wired to make them functional.

USDM or UKDM ECU or Harness pinout may differ though.

ok next question does the stock computer pull or add timing when the vvl kicks in????

That is totally dependant on the map/tune. The engagement of VVL doesnt activate a different map or anything. I haven't got a map or program handy to look but i don't recall there being a major shift in the timing at the vvl engagement points.

thats gay how are they gonna have a ecu that activates valve timing but doesnt pull or advance timing when it kicks in thats where you can get extra power from..

As i said, any timing & fuel change is built into the maps.
