How much can a stock ve hold on boost and i have been looking at the gti-r intake and i can get it to work but do u think it is worth it. I guess i should be asking if it has been done before and the good the bad and ugly.

I have been running 14psi on my stock VE with a t25 for a bout 6months now, not a single hiccup. I'm switching to a2w intercooler and alky injection and see how far I cant take the Stock VE/T25 combo before upgrading to a larger turbo.

14psi is at about the safe limit I know. But I'm not really going to be playing it safe. Should be a fun ride with the alky injection+a2w intercooler at 20+ psi, should make plenty of torque but that'll be it.

I've seen t25 go up to 22psi without any problems on a stock DET, it was not productive at all due to the high IAT's, but the turbo lasted for years and when taken off it was in the same condition as when the DET was first installed,

What injectors are you running? and when does your full boost kick in and then drop off..i want to do this, but have told to go t28 because the t25 will loose puff at 5-6000rpm...

No, the GTiR intake manifold is not suited to the VE... stock manifold is more then suited to boost and flows just as well ;) GTiR manifold wont work if you work out where the plenum will be when its all bolted together ;)

Right now I hVE 370'S @ 4.5 BAR. They are at about 87-89% duty cycle from the 14psi at 3.7k to redlie. But the boost drops to 8-9 psi as soon as the VVL kicks in and does not come up. I tried just about everything on the AEM TRU_BOOST but notjing can keep the boost from falling.
