I bought a consult cable and it shows a code 21 - ignition start signal. The other symptoms are it cranks but not spark from plugs. The check engine light does not come on at all. The fuel pump isn't working unless I jump the relay (a new relay didn't fix this). I read somewhere about an oil pressure switch could stop the relay from working but it didn't mention about the other problems. Any ideas or help with testing instructions? I can't afford to start changing everything out.
Thank you.

This is a 92 Nissan NX2000. I replaced the original 2.0 engine with a 2.0 from an Infinity. The Infinity engine has the remmants of two ground wires attached right by the throttle. I couldn't find any corresponding ground wires on my harness. In fact I know of only two ground wires from the harness; one by the battery and one running to the transaxle. Should there be more?
Thank you.

There is a section in the FSM for code 21. The coil, ignitor chip, and power transistor are all part of it. The fuel pump is not. I would suggest going over that.

FSM? I bought a new oil pressure sensor from Autozone but can't find it on the engine. There are two sensors above the oil filter but neither one look like the one I bought. The weird thing is that the box it came in shows "ignition system". Could one little sensor be the cause of all my problems? The car was running after the engine swap. It ran for about 50 feet before it died and the "fun" began.
Thank you.

Thanks to Ryan who provided a link to ground wire locations, the car is running again. The ground wires on intake runner #4 were not connected. This fixed the fuel pump relay issue and the no spark issue. I have to use the consult cable again to see if it will show why I have a surging issue but the main thing is that it's drivable. Thank you to everyone who offered assistance with this.
