TUNED200 09-21-2002, 07:06 PM now i have a strange noise. i hear the turbo screaming, like a whistle noise. the car boost and vac is fine, but the noise is loud. the only thing i can think is does the bov have to be mounted right side up? i mounted it upsidedown. any ideas. Brian SERprise In WV 09-21-2002, 10:57 PM Brian-- Been there. Check *all* connections on your IC piping, especially all silicone/rubber ones. If one pipe is not fully sealed near the turbo, you'll hear the turbo making noise. Don't just look at the connections. Rather, pull all of them apart, one by one, and re-tighten them down, making sure you can feel the edge of the pipe down in the connector. When you can, get some Purosil connectors and T-bolt clamps. They will help assure a positive seal on your IC pipes. SE-R / GTi-R 09-22-2002, 03:19 AM i have a GTi-R swap and a front mount. My T28 screams with a high pitch, but it'd the turbo spooling.
