i know some will say this is simple but here's the deal... 2 sr20det long blocks, 1 bad rings, 1 bad pistons, 1 gti-r long block, bad rings, what should i do to have a good sr20det block? gti-r rods and crank in the sr20det? gti-r pistons on the sr20det rods and crank, and where do i source the bearings and what rings should i go with along with which head gasket?

All of your pistons are the same. If you rebuilding buy new rings anyway. A bunch of places have parts for the det (stock rings and stock/upgraded bearings), Gtir parts are a bit hard to find. There are a couple write-ups of head-gaskets if you search around. If you have Gtir head parts you want to sell PM me. Hope this helped.

Ok here you go the pistons are all the same gtir or det. Gtir block, rods and head are diff. For the best setup I would run the gtir rods in the det(you can use the gtir crank or have the det one worked to fit) block with any matching pistons you have. Just fyi after all this is done and paid for you could have gotten an jdm sr20det engine shipped to your door.

Despit the 2mm difference in the size of the gtir rods they can still fit on the det crank with no problem? Where exactly can I find the bearings also? How hard is it to add extra holes in them for added protection unless this step is not needed? Are nissan rings recommended? What else should be given attention to while its open? I really want to do this one time and that's it! HOPEFULLY! Thanx for the input guys!

so, no work is required to put the gtir rods and pistons on the det crank and in the det block or is it better/easier to put the gtir crank, rods, and pistons on the det crank and in block?

Are you drunk? haha j/k that last part is a little ?.......

ether way it should work I have just heard that its best to have some work done to the nongtir crank if your gonna use gtir rods. I know its a good idea to chamfer the crank when using gtir rods anyone else know more?

nah..lol..but i was tired as hell! Chamfer the crank? so i plan on going with the sr20det crank, gti-r rods, gti-r pistons, gti-r rod bearings, sr20det journal bearings. If somethings wrong or there's a better way to do this please let me know.

and se200...i was just down there on friday, i purchased that drag b13 body!
