so im having some problem with some gauges and switches, my tach, temp, gas gauge doesnt work. and my fog light and defrost switches are out too....i put new cluster and switches in, i figured if it was a fuse then the backlight and clock wouldnt work either but they do.....i dont wanna hear anyone say wires i pray that its not wires. do the backlighting fuse go to the same one as the interior lights or are is it the same fuse for the cluster?

It sounds like a fuse has gone. All those sort of things are usually on the same fuse. Check ALL the fuses and I can pretty much guarantee you'll find a blown one.
