the number stamped on the block.plus the motor is a bit smaller than the 20ve.also the 16ve thottle body is smaller than the sr20.and if its stock never been messed with the 16ve should have a blue valve cover.20ve is black.

What are you talking about? The SR16/20 are the same physical size externally.

Look near the front of the motor near the trans side there is a stamp on it.

it looks a bit smaller the place were i buy my motors is stocked up on them.but they do look very identical.mesure the throttle body on the sr20 & the sr16 than also the intake manifold.youll see i have both SR20VE & SR16VEn1.

i was just seeing how much different the ve intake is from a stock de and i put the de gasket up to the ve and it was almost a hole longer. after messing with this motor i think i can make alot of power out of this head. I have not read up on this motor yet but think i am going to like it.

Smaller motor ???? Anyway the stock 16ve & 20ve throttle bodies are the same size except for the 16ve N1 which is 70mm and larger. Now if you really search this the 16ve N1 and the 20ve 20V have the same size throttle body. Externally the blocks for the 16ve, 16ve N1, 20ve & 20ve 20V are the same size. At least you have the valve cover colors correct and the stamped number on the block for reference to the ID of the block.

Hmm, it does appear to be a bit smaller.

it does n it is..look at the pics correctly.better yet messure the throttle bodys n manifolds.than you will truly see.but there is a stamp on the block that identifies every single motor.

looooooolllllll... i'm sure he thinks that because the SR16 part is smaller is because the engine is smaller...lol

the only thing you have correct is the stamp thing. any other thing you were just saying i don't know where you get that from... This thread i think will die really soon.

hehehehe it seems to me also that the one with the nice blue valve cover is smaller. It is smaller by some pixels hehehehe!
se-riousr asked about sr20ve and sr16ve not sr16ve n1.
