i have 1991 sentra se-r and the body is mint. paint is faded but stock DE engine is bad so I'm thinking of swapping in a bluebird. is a direct swap to my b13?

DET(bluebird/red top) comes with harness, ecu, maf, altenator.. i mean everything. is there any other modification i need to do to install the DET? and does that radiator hoses need any modification? and how about the turbo would it disturb the radiator fans? and how about fuel pump, do i need to get another one thats stronger? um how about the se-r transmission direct fit also?

i was also thinking of putting in a VE.. but i heard they idle stock at 2,000 rpms. is that true? if it obviously i would need my ecu tuned :L. where does the DET idle at?

sorry for all dumb questions. i'm just new to sr20's

You need to go to the faq section.

Stay away from replacing your stock sensors, it will be hard to find avenir replacements.

MY REC:

avenir motor, they're cheaper, they require a little cutting to fit, INSPECT BEFORE IT COMES OFF THE TRUCK! just pop the oil cap and look for sludge, and turn it over

300zx or maxima mass air flow sensor

calum real time ecu (makes future upgrades easier)

replace all turbo and exhaust gaskets, they are a total pain once the motor is installed, take your old motor out as complete as possible, with the wiring harness, this will make matching up sensors and what not a lot easier

act clutch, do not buy spec 3 bs clutches, if it's not rated by ft lbs torque, do not buy

Lightened fly wheel, I have a cheap chromoly ebay one, it was made in USA and it had stickers qualifying it for nhra competition (forgot what they were called)

walbro fuel pump

nismo fpr makes future upgrades easier

intercooler piping with t clamps

buy as much used stuff as possible, except the clutch, makes it cheaper, I picked my intercooler, down pipe, 300zx maf used....

urethane motor mounts

yes your b13 tranny is a direct bolt on

I had to remove the passenger side radiator fan, I have had no cooling issues

autometer gauges

as far as I know, all sr20's idle around 800 rpm, a lot of people have their ecu tuned to raise it to 1000 to stop rattles

I gathered parts for over a year before I finally did my swap.

hmm. you're right avenir's engine are cheaper than the bluebird but they don't come with ecu. is the harness compatible with the stock DE 91 b13's harness? and how about calum ecu? how much did he charge u for a tune ecu? those motor mounts, they replace the old soft ones right? i don't need nissan avenir's motor mounts for the b13 right lol direct fit?

You need to go to the faq section.

After you have read that entire section, twice, then ask any further clarifying questions.

i'm going to give you some advice

go with a sr20ve and then turbocharge it

you'll get way way better results than with a bb motor and puting in the ve alone will give you a fun ride to whip around in

BB swap is easy. Just pay attention to where all the wires and bolts go. Get stiffer mounts and a dogbone for up front. Walbaro, afpr, and a fuel pressure gauge are suggested. USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION... all the info you need is here. You just have to look. good luck. Enjoy boosted life

do a gtir swap man. i wish i had. larger turbo, larger injectors, itbs, solid lifters....or do a vet. both great ideas for your first car.
