so to keep it short here is the deal. i have a non lsd b15 transmission in my 93 NX2000.
i found information in the past "if you get a b15 with open dif then you have to use 98 ser axles or 99 sel axles both must have a prduction date later then 10/97"
i bought an axle out of a 99 sel and it slides in etc all is good. driving down the road it vibrates and clunks like crazy! i took it apart and it is bottoming out in the tulip that goes into the diff. i measured the axle and it is 25" which matches the parts store info. the factory axle is 24.25" total. so this axle choice clearly does not work being as its too long.
so.. what other axles can i use that will fit or am i going to have to have it machined?
ps: i tried taking the tulip off the non lsd axle and putting it on the original axle but the cv bearings are too sloppy in the tulip and the splines are different on the shafts so swapping bearing assemblies from axle to axle is out of the question :(
