-thanx :biggthump
sergioqu 02-28-2010, 09:36 PM by the way my B13 has sportlines on what looks like oem struts,
came like this when i bought it . the car look nice low but i want the thing to handle like on rails. lol
Mr. Sleeper 03-01-2010, 01:32 AM Welcome 2 the club. I myself am stuck between getting the Agx w gc coilover or get some Megan coilovers. The thing I'm stuck on is will I need the camber plates? To my understanding, I won't need camber plates as long as I don't lower my car I believe 2.5 inches right? And this is gonna be for a dd and prob twice a month drag car.
bobbyisking 03-01-2010, 01:41 AM road magnets on kyb agx on both of my b13's. they are great...
Mr. Sleeper 03-01-2010, 03:28 PM Did u need camber plates? Did it cause ur wheels to wear out like it needs an alignment?
NXtacyNZ 03-02-2010, 02:09 AM Im running D2 36 way adjustable coilovers and Whiteline adjustable front and rear swaybars. If you want minimal body roll go with coilovers. Adjustable coilovers are very expensive but are worth it if you are racing. If you want to do it cheaply, buy a thicker rear swaybar. I used to run KYB shocks with king springs, which I thought was great, but when I got my Whiteline swaybar it made a huge difference.
Note: If you get coilovers, I probably wouldnt worry about swaybars as you can stiffen up the ride awesomely.
toguedrifter 03-02-2010, 03:34 AM Im rolling GC coil sleeves on KYB GR2's... soon to upgrade to AGX's :)
Just to comment... If you want to slam your car, then megan or some other inexpensive co. is the way to go for dd. Depending on what kind of good deals you come across sometimes matching a good spring to strut works just fine for dd and can be a better way to go.
If you are going to get serious into fine tuning your suspension then you'll want to take the time and money to invest in whats right for your setup... If you want to take turns better and minimize body roll than the best place to start is go full urethane on your chassis bushings and upgrade the sways. Then depending on how much stiffness you can tolerate than you choose the spring and strut or coilover (spring rate, etc...) If your concerned about tire wear then dont slam it without camber plates. and ofcourse brace bars are always a plus :biggthump
I dd mine, track it and drive the Sh*t out of it! I enjoy the GC's for dd, the gr2's however dont keep up to how I drive it so thats why Im going adjustable
Hope this helps... Most what I said is a good starting point
MTBz_Turbo_B13 03-02-2010, 04:37 AM Kyb gr2's on suspension techniques car sits lower in the front... looks nice handles nice
sergioqu 03-02-2010, 10:16 PM i was thinking of getting the RM and AGX's but i like would like the koni red inserts in the rear with RM springs and yellows on the front its just the price u know, its probably worth it but i just dont want to focus on one thing, id like a pretty balanced car. With brea cyn and GMR near me id like to focus on something that would be useful hehe as well as a DD. Its like the most responses people put the more unsure i get lol , i think i need to road test ur vehicles and compare lol.
sergioqu 03-02-2010, 11:17 PM alright through a group buy im looking at $800 for ksport control pro's
road magnets are 260 plus the price of agx!!!
what do i do???
Ulysses 03-03-2010, 12:17 AM Wheres this group buy for the ksport pro's? Is it the same one here on the forum that they are doing for the ksports but not the pros
Mr. Sleeper 03-03-2010, 02:21 PM I would say just go w the coilovers over the strut and spring combos. It'll save you some cash in the long run because it'll cost you more to buy the strut and spring combo due to camber plates.
Syne' 03-03-2010, 03:20 PM gotta love full coilover suspension :biggthump i been riding on them since 2 months after i bought my car. witch has been 5 years now, goin on 6:D

Ill be more than happy to give you a ride, hope you dont get scared easily :D
NismoSER 03-04-2010, 12:54 PM Go with the Koni's man. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed. It will give your car an OEM-like ride while still handling any of the high spring-rates that you can throw at it, as in my experience most other aftermarket dampers will jar the hell out of your kidneys. Match them up with what you like...RMs, Hypercoils, GC's.
Just don't go too low, the B13 chassis has limited suspension travel....so bottoming out on a turn can wreak havoc with the car's handling dynamics during a turn.

Trust me, believe him when he says he drives the heck outta his car. Lol. This guys has nerves of steel but great driving skills. I kinda wonder if he drives for a team or something? Lol
Mr. Sleeper 03-04-2010, 01:44 PM P.S- I'm about 2 buy some Megans but am not sure what spring rate I should request? I'll be using the car for drag and dd and don't mind the car being a little on the harsh side bcuz we r about to buy another dd so the fam can roll in it.
Also, will I b able to set the back higher than the front, like the Srt4's? That's how I want it set-up for drag.
