Alright, I've got a silver top avenir DET in the garage (to go in a B14) with a blue ECU connector. It came with an ECU and a MAF that I'm almost positive don't go together. The ECU has no serial number stickers on it, but the edge sticker numbers match Mndgy's from a N15 Pulsar. They are: A18C58Y42. It also has a blue connector. The MAF looks to be from a GTi-R, as it is a 22690 54C00. I was tipped off initially when I couldn't plug it in anywhere on the avenir harness :rolleyes: . Also, there isn't an ignitor chip on there. Do I need one/from where?

Can I use the N15 ECU, and which MAF do I need to go with it?

In other news, I'd be happy to post pics of anything on the avenir for reference or just for fun. I have webspace and a digital camera.

alright, I figured everything out. The ECU is an N15, which never had DET, only 9.5:1 SR20DE. To use the GTi-R MAF, I'd have to get the connector and wire it in along with a JWT program. It doesn't matter now, since the owner (my brother) has decided to terminate the project. A swap into a GA16 200sx is just too expensive. Anyone want an Avenir with no ECU, MAF, or ignitor? Perfect for SE-R owners :D ! By the way, Mndgy, did you get yours from Karim at R390 sports? I find it funny that we both have the same wrong ecu. Keep your eyes out for a post in the "for sale" forum!

No, I was going to buy 2 front clips from karim, until I actually talked to him and he kinda sounded full of himself and the prices were a little to good to be true, at least for a front clip........I got my engine from kenny lau, I'm pretty happy, aside from the ecu, The engine is nice and clean and the turbo.......ah, the turbo.......who has some REALLY BIG snap ring pliers?

Mndgy if you are just going to rotate the compressor housing you don't need to take the comp. housing off, unless you are doing something else?

Let me tell you guys something else the W10/W11 Avenirs come with a GTi-R or equivelant MAF, are you sure the part# isn't 22680-54C00?

Don't toss those N15 ECUs as the N15 had the SR20VE that year I believe, I'll research it somemore, I had it bookmarked but I deleted it but I do know for sure it had a VVL engine in it that year as an optional, wasn't sure if 1.6L or 2.0L but I think it was 2.0L

hey charlie!.........So I attempted to move the snap ring and SNAP it breaks in half and shoots of in 2 directions....anyone know the part number for the snap ring?........and anyone else thinking about painting their project car flat black....:D :D :D

Anyway, I don't think the Avenir Maf and GTi-R maf are the same. The Avenir wiring harness has this connector on it...

but the GTi-R maf has a more rectangular connector on it. The fact that they didn't fit together was what started me wondering.
