ok i bought a b13 with a blown motor
removed and replaced with a donor motor from a friend

my ser is an automatic with a highport so i install the donor which i believe is a motor from a 98 b14 lowport

i swapped the manifolds and got car running but when cold the idle surges up and down when its warm it doesnt do it as bad but still does it and i got hard start up and running rich

replaced IAC, adjusted the TPS, checked timing=ok

want to remove the egr but havent had time yet and car has slight exhaust leak which will get attention real soon

so can u put a highport on a lowport motor and anything else that might help

thx

you want to put just the intake manifold on or you want to put the complete head on?
intake manifold- no
entire head- yes

why dont you just leave the lowport in there and swap in the highport intake cam for a few extra hp then advance the timing and run 93?

im doing the same swap and i live in californa so im looking at the smog aspect of it. I just started the swap saturday and i wont finish until sometime this week. I look at the two motors for hours and tried to figure a way of bening able to swap the highport intake manifold onto the lowport motor. I dont see an option besides just to swap the entire head.
