I have 195/50/16's on Enkei rims at this point in time. What if any would be the advantages of going to 205/40/16 or 205/45/16? Or possibly going to 15" rims?

thanks

with a smaller sidewall will give you a quicker acceleration and drop your top end a lil. with a wider tire you are putting down more rubber giving you more stability. plus with a smaller sidewall you get less body roll in the car while cornering. 15 inch wheels will always give you a tire with more sidewall than a 16inch wheel. but because it's smaller again it changes your your acceleration and top end.

195-50-16= Tire size 23.68
slowest acceleration, best top end, best gas milage and best ride comfort.

205-40-16= Tire size 22.46
quickest acceleration, slowest top end, will use the most gas and will feel every bump and will corner very good

205-45-16= tire size 23.26
This tire is inbetween the other tires. If this is for a b13 this tire in my opinion will be the best all round tire. This tire is closest to the originla B13 sentra factory tire, will have less speedo error.

As my friend Andreas Miko knows, I have a 215x45x17 on mine. With these tires on my car it makes my gears feel really long. I've tested the different between this tire size vs and stock size and it's about a 10% different. Ex: If I was riding next to someone with their stock tires and I was reading 50mph then that person will be reading 55mph. If I was doing 60mph they will read 66mph and so on and so forth. This really helps out on top end:). I know you don't have these size tires but thought I would tell you about this anyways. Take care.
Danny.

only problem with those big rims is that it makes your low end suck. big wheels look nice but aren't that effective with off the line acceleration. you should advance your timing and check your tps sensor it should be around a 14.1 ratio and your voltage should be around 3.5. that will gove you more power and lean out your ratio some. but i'm nota genius or car guru. I'm kinda giving advice my friend gave me.

I've got 215/40/17s and they scrub a little when I turn, how can you run 215/45/17?

What wheel and offset are you running? Maybe that's where the answer lies.

The tires don't really rub at all. The only time it might if I have the steering wheel completely turned but otherwise it is all good:cool: .
