so hear is the run down i need a to fill my tranny with gear oil while its on the car i trys just jacking it up and taking off the filler plug but more came our so if any one could have any usefull tips i would greatly thank you :confused:

yea but a lot came out so i just want to refill it plus it was old

take the plug out of the bottem of the tranny let it drain, fill it up till it comes out the fill plug. it couldnt be any ezer'

Did you remove the drain plug (fits a 3/8" drive socket) or the fill plug (fits 1/2" socket)?

If the fill plug, then do you have the car more or less level or is it tilted so as to drain fluid out the fill hole?

Once you get this sorted out, use a funnel with a rubber hose slipped onto it to fill the tranny from up top. I set my funnel near the battery and run the hose down to the fill hole. It should be filled up to the bottom of the fill hole when the car is level - no more is needed (and may be detrimental).

Be sure to remove the fill plug first. They can be tough buggers to break loose. If you drain the tranny then find you can't get the fill plug out, you'll have to remove the speedo to refill.
