Question:

-Who would be interested in a set (or just 1 of the 3) of thermo-spacers for our intake?

Price would be somewhere in the ballpark of $50ish (£25~£35) I would imagine per spacer (not set). Made in the U.K. by the guys who do intake spacers for the R. Shipping would, of course, be cheaper for the boys overseas. If you wanted just an intake (head to ITB) spacer we can do that. If you wanted an ITB to plenum spacer, we could do just that. If you wanted just a plenum spacer, again it’s doable. All 3 would be in the ballpark of your normal thermo-spacer kit ($125-$150ish) I would imagine.

Just trying to see the interest in something before I just have one made up for myself. I'm interested in just for one more spacer that will help deter heat transfer.

For the record: a 5mm spacer will add about 1/4 of a liter to the plenum volume. In theory if you had a 5mm spacer between the ITBs and the head, a 5mm spacer between the ITBs and the plenum, and stacked two 5mm spacers in the plenum you would gain 10mm in runner length (making the runners ~305mm from the top of the stacks to the valve stem) and add half a liter to the plenum volume (making it about 3L in volume). Just food for thought.

That would be about the limit of spacing you could do without getting to close to the firewall. Plus, with that many PTFE spacers between the plenum and the block I'm pretty sure you would have some significant temperature differences in the plenum.

I would take the one from the head-->ITB.
can this happen ... now ? (my intake is not on my block and I could change it right now ;))

I completely forgot about these because nobody said anything for a month. Here are pics of the 5mm head -> ITB spacer (sorry, it's already on the car; but it's cut was the exact same as the gasket):

I can still get the guy the templets for the plenum and ITB -> plenum gaskets if people are intrested still, though it will not be something that will happen over night.

Were you able to notice a gain or have dyno numbers?

would like to see before and after dyno numbers of each individual and then all spacers...this would make it more "marketable" ....
BusinessMan24 are you thinking what im thinking?

I'll be honest guys; I'm not trying to sale them I was just offering something out there that I was doing at the time. I don't have before and after numbers. I know the advantages these can do and did the calculation to see if it works for my needs. When I added the spacer I did a few other things as well, so its hard to gauge just exactly it added. The one extremely noticeable thing I found was the intake temp dropped a good deal. What’s a good deal? Well the plenum is no longer hot to the touch and more like standard warm temp for a metal object in the engine bay.

If you’re looking for comparative gains, one would imagine it would be the same as most spacer kits; both in the cooling aspect and added air volume.

Do you have a price quote at all from the guy that made yours or would you need to talk to him to see if he is avaible to make more and price?

Mine cost £36. Haven't gotten a quote on the other two gaskets, or a cost for a set of all 3.
