At the start of the weekend my AC/Heater was working good. but on sat. I got in my car and i have nothing on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd notch but the 4th notch works and io also do not have any AC it does not kick on but the light lights up. I have a 98 sentra se. all the settings on vent, feet and defrost work good on switching between them but nothing til i hit the 4th notch. What could be my problem so i can fix it all the fuses in my fuse box appear to be ok and not blown.

please help.

on older cars there was a resistor that you replace in the bottom of the blower box under the glove box. This usually fixes the prob.
search the Mailing list archives and you can possibly find a part number.

I checked under the glove box and all of everything and i can not figure out what is going on with it i am about to take it to a shop. I talked to a few people and they said that i may be the entire unit it self. well that is the unit above the radio. i am at a loss. so if any more ideas please let me know. and if it is the main unit does anyone else have this problem or heard of this problem??

check the mailing list archives......the resistor is held in by one screw and you just slide it out. its about 6"x4" its under the blower box. Try that first, it could save you a lot of trouble.
I will take a pic of it tonight and send it to you tommorow. belive me its worth the try before you take it somewhere and they charge you an arm and a leg for nothing.
