First: I called jim wolf up and well it was nice as hell, they told me that the ecu upgrade is 595. What excalty does this do? i know it raises the rev limter and takes off the speed limter. what is the advantages of this V a header or cams. ( they are all in the same price range) from what the guy said was that the gains were all comperable. Advice?????

Second: I recently got a shifter out of a 97 wrecked ser and i cut it down and it looks and feels good but the problem is that gate enrty in first is sometimes hard and sometimes smooth why is this? is there anything i can do to make it smooth all the time? Could shifter bushings help? Should i do that anyways?

Third: My car has 76000 miles on it and well its runnin great but i am wonderin is this too many miles to mod it out. Is there anything that i can add to the motor to brong any loss of compression( if there is any)
:::side note - i got the car with 68000 miles on it and i bought from a 34 year old lady that never took it above 5500 rpm:::

JWT cams and their ECU program work well together, so I'd buy them both at the same time if I wanted either. It's not absolutely mandatory, but it's a little less hassle. If you got the ECU now and bought cams later, you would have to pay a $100 reprogramming fee to get the JWT cam program added.

Cams will give you a bigger kick in the pants than headers, but headers are a worthy upgrade, too. They're cheaper than either an ECU or set of cams. Depends on brand - searching will turn up a lot of information.

The ES shifter bushing is cheap and doesn't make a drastic difference, but if your stock rubber bushing is shot, you might as well go for it. New synthetic tranny fluid couldn't hurt if you have the money.

If the car was given regular maintenance, 76,000 miles leaves plenty of life. SR20s tend to be tough.

Get the bushings from Pro-Line performance off of Williamson Rd. I got my ES motor mounts there. Good prices.

What's with the poll?
