Hey guys, well I hydrolocked my DE the other night and now I guess Ill have to install a DET. Just a few questions, I found a 35k DET for $1300, no ecu or harness. If I remember correctly SCC did a swap into a G20 and they used the existing harness, is this really possible? I know the DE ecu won't work on the DET and I cant afford a JWT unit so I need some suggestions on where to locate a used DET ecu and how much do they usually run? My other question is what other parts will I need to buy to complete the swap. Intake hoses, etc... also will the DET downpipe bolt directly to the DE exhaust? Any and all information would really help out. Thanks in advance.

I have a BB ECU that I can sell you in a couple of weeks tops. Im doing a swap this weekend and will have to use the BB ecu till I get my JWT ecu from a guy that already has my deposit. As far as everything else you are going to need, here's a list of everything I had to purchase:(1) BB MOTOR 1540.00+115.00 shipped to residence (2) BBECU 200.00 (3) DOWNPIPE 175.00 (4) CLUTCH(CLUTCHMASTERS STAGE I) 326.00 (5) WATER PUMP 47.OO (6) AXLE SEALS 5.00 (7) BELTS 22.00 (8) BOOST GAUGE 27.00 (9) OIL PRESSURE GAUGE 27.00 (10) POLYURETHANE MOTOR MOUNTS 36.00 (11) TORQUE MOUNTS 35.00 (12) MOBIL 1 15W50 18.00 (13) OIL FILTER 3.00 (14) REDLINE SHOCKPROOF GEAR OIL(HEAVYWEIGHT) 36.00{4QTS}. Your Se-r harness will work on the BB motor. As far as the exhaust goes, you would probably want to get a high flow cat since the stock one is pretty old. Then just have it flanged to fit your downpipe and whatever cat back exhaust you decide to go with. *grand total* $2612.00

It's important to note that the little things add up really fast, as stated in the above post. Don't forget that the top mount intercooler isn't the best place for it, and should be front mounted as soon as possible. That costs the green too.

I'm using the stock DE ECU with minimal problems( bad idle, stalling, and bad fuel economy). Run this way until you can go another route (JWT, S-AFC, BB ECU, Greddy E-Manage).
