Does anyone know anything at all about these? I think they were the silvia s12 in japan, and had RWD. Is there basically any decent aftermarket for these? Engine swaps? Would a japan spec FJ20ET fit in? Would it be really hard to find one? I think the engine they had in there stock is the CA18ET, is there many parts to get this putting out close to 200hp easily?
I'm thinking of getting an old RWD mid 80s import as a project car. So far, a Toyota AE86 with a twincharged 4A-GZE sounds like my best option.

I was thinking the same thing. I think that car could have some real potential, for one its turbo, so IC, Boost controller, filter, and exaust, maybe a custom downpipe its would be a fun car (and its rear wheel drive too). The turbo one had just as you said the CA18et so could you use CA18det parts or maybe the DET head? I had in mind a AE86 fighter! the car had 130hp stock so I think it could whoop up on a hachi.

I also had been thinking about the s12. Another one that I have give a lot of thought to was the old rear wheel drive turbo isuzu impulse with the susp by lotus. My best friend had one and It was a blast even stock and running like *****.
