Well I know that Ben92SentraSER or something. Stuck a SR20de into a Geo Metro. Well I want to do it in a Geo Storm. I know the Geo Storm GSi model has a bigger engine(4 cyclinder) 140hp 130tq. So I think it would be a better selection for the swap. Well I'm wondering what i'm going to need. So I can start finding parts and how much this is going to cost. Maybe even a SR20VE or a DE with a turbo slapped on. :p
So does anyone know where I can find some more info on this. Or help a brother out. I know you can swap all kinds of SR motors into a NX2000/1600 and they are very similar to Geo Storms.
I know I'm going to have to have a JWT tuned ECU for one. An different half shafts.. but what kind of half shafts is what I don't know. Along with some other stuff.

Why don't you put an Isuzu Impulse turbo engine in. It bolts up and is pretty quick. There's a guy around here with a 12 vlave Storm with this engine, and at 10psi, he can almost keep up to me.

Hmmm ***'s a thought I'll look into those a little bit. I know it's like a 1987-88 engine, that the Turbo motor came out of that car. What do you run for 1/4 times do you know? An how far behind is he. I'd almost rather just do a SR20DE(bolt on turbo), SR20VE(maybe bolt on a turbo), or the SR20DET bluebird.

I have a slipping clutch and really bad tires and I run a 14.6@98mph. I should run low 14s with that mph. I pull on the storm about a car length in 3rd, but until third we're equal. When I raced him, my clutch wasn't as bad as now though, so his car is pretty quick.

What kind of boost are you running? Or do you usually run when crusing around?
Oh yeah I found out more info on my project. The Isuzu Impulse AWD turbo.. that thing is fucking sweeet. It's kind like the NX2000. It's only know for it's great stuff and tuning capabilities from hardcore underground Nissan fans. But the only better thing, is the AWD factor.. fun in the snow all day long!!! :D
Yeah you can swap in that Impulse turbo motor into a Geo Storm. Ever seen that yellow one in Import Tuner or something?Steve Locketts GEO STORM will kick your ass!!! I'd still love to get a NX2000 and do a some kinda sweet swap with a turbo. But we shall see. I'm just going to learn as much as I can, and next summer/spring make my decision and go buy either a Geo, Impulse turbo, or a NX2000.

I had a GSi before my NX2000, and let me tell you, the NX2000 is a hundred times better. The GSi rusted like crazy, and would always break down. Looks wise, it was a nice car, but reliability sucked. As for my NX, I'm running stock boost at 6.5psi and the car is still not fully tuned(running a DE ECU) with the Greddy E-Manage.
