I noticed that most people use the Ngk bkr7e plugs
on there turbo motor. Are these a problem to start
in the cold and good for daily driving?
I've heard that the 7 heat range is to cold to run for daily driving. Is this true?

Just wondering where I could pick up these plugs from? Does the local pepboys carry these?

Yep, too cold for the street car crowd.

Cheers,
Charlie :)

Hey Charlie,
I have a bb turbo set up on my usdm motor and was wondering what plugs I should run with? I want it good for everyday driving and cold enough for the turbo without melting.
What plugs should I go with and what heat range is good?

You should be able to run 7's on the street just fine .... I have been running 7's in my car for quite some time , both the G20 and the Altima , with no problems ... The worst that could happen is a fouled plug , but if it does that then you will know to run 6's ...

7's are ok, but I found that it's takes a while for the car to warm up in the morning and run right. You'll get an incomplete burn and a pop between shifts until you warm up.

Run the NGK copper 6's, unless your running big boost.

Cheers,
Charlie :)

I run the BKR6E-11's with no problem, and have run the BKR7E in the summer as a daily driver with no problms either. Though I live in the south, any other place I would stay with the 6E's.

At what boost level would you consider 'big boost'? I've run 7's all summer long in seattle.. i do get that hesitation and popping when the car isn't warm, never knew it was because of the plugs.
