I went to the track friday. I ran a 13.6 @ 107 on 17" wheels with toyo tires. R/T .635, 60' 2.28. Just wondering how much you all think slicks would help and would it be worth it. This is a daily driver. I don't really want to risk blowing it with slicks.

How much boost are you running? Did you put a limited slip in? Slicks will help out a shitload!!! Have a good one!

I was running 9 lbs of boost. I've run 10 and 11 before but I forgot my tools to turn it up. No I don't have a limited slip. Do you think I'm risking blowing the trannie or anything with the slicks?

If the turbo is a Pulsar GTIR turbo, shift the car at 7200 RPMs. With the MPH that you ran of 107, you should be able to sneak in a 13.1-2 on slicks. Great time for street tires on 17s. Get the slicks and turn up the boost a little. A high 12 is sure to come. If you get slicks get stock 15 inch 200 sx SE-R wheels and use M&H 7.5 x 23 x 15 slicks. If you got a little cash get Bogart wheels for $500 a pair shipped and some 9 x 24 x 15 slicks best for turbo.
