: Opinions on 264 HKS cams??
Hector Firpo 09-24-2002, 05:25 PM Anybody out there using 264 HKS cams on their DET? How do they perform? Have any dyno graphs? How's the idle?
Right now I'm exploring cams options, any information will be greatly appreciated.
Big John 09-24-2002, 06:58 PM 264 are very similar to S4's.

unlucky 09-24-2002, 07:03 PM I have a set in my motor. Although I haven't been able to see/test their full potential, they seem to be a good setup. The idle is pretty lopey.. It makes the car sound pretty mean at about 850rpm. If you would like more info, PM me and we can chit chat.

NX$paniard 09-24-2002, 07:21 PM i think they are the same as the s4....
cause s3 duration is 260 and s4 is 264 right?? somethin like that..
unlucky 09-24-2002, 07:25 PM They are identical in lift and duration to S4's.. however.. I don't know if the ramp angles are the same.
Sirnixalot 09-24-2002, 08:55 PM wow...the 264s are lopey? i was thinking of going with Juns 278 intake and 264 exhaust cams....that sounds like it would not be nice for the street..hmm i better step it down a notch
turbo b13 se-r 09-24-2002, 10:14 PM whats a good small turbo (t-25) pair of cams?
92SE-R 09-25-2002, 05:09 PM S3's, S4's, C1's, HKS 264s.
SucKit 09-25-2002, 05:31 PM This is the specs on the Gti-r cams, they only have one spec for this so compare it according to whatever spec you think it is.

TurbochargedB13 may be able to give you more info. he sells hks and, atleast for me (n/a) hks 264 intake and 272 exhaust is a good set up.
I have never seen the sticks what are the quality visually?
O
there are lots of cams on the market for the Sr20 now, so its up to you with what you want. I know that JWT put lots of time into development of their cams thats why i run them. JUn cams seem to kick ass as well. i dont think there are any dyno charts for the HKS ones, but i would like to see them.
I think for your DET the S3 or S4s give some nice #'s. Have to check with the turbo guys though....
spdracerUT 09-27-2002, 02:54 AM If you're going to run a small turbo(t25/t28), get cams without much overlap. Reason being, the smaller turbos create a lot of backpressure and if you have a lot of overlap, you'll get reversion(the exhaust going back into the cylinder). And THAT leads to detonation and a loss of power. I'm using cam gears at JWT's recommendation and reduced the overlap of the S3s with the t25. If you run a big turbo, they don't create as much back pressure so it's not much of an issue I think. With the really big turbos, I think there are guys running the C-series cams with them.

Joweeed 10-05-2009, 12:03 PM Hi there,
I fitted a set of these cams to my Sentra on TDC. How should I dial them in to get the most out of them?
Thx
