I am hopefully going to polish everything up for a nice picture! My buddy is trying to get me to paint my IC black to go sleeper. I thought I was sleeper enough! Thanks for the comments!

If you ever sell that car, it is MINE!! I miss that color and want to eventually get another one. I saw a Pacific Sun Blue SE-R in my apartments... and I almost cried. Other than mine, I have not seen a blue SE-R around here.

yeah that color is just sick!
Silver ones are kinda rare too.
but that blue is a lot harder to find:mad:

and talk about hard to find. I spotted this car about a year before I bought it. He used to be on the board: James Moe- great guy, got in touch with him when I had my first black 96. I said that I am going to put my car up for sale and when he is ready to sell the car that I will be the first in line. 9 months later I am on a flight out to wisconsin to pick the car up. They supposedly only made 100 of them in the country. (Raser X painted his) so that makes it 99 left that are this color! If you find this color I would pick it up, they are very very rare cars. Also the Bronze color 97's are very very rare. Same situation, only 100 or so made. Thanks again for the responses and have a good one!

yeah i can honestly say i have only seen 1 Skyline blue and 1 Orange Copper SE-R's here in the NW.

Yeah they were all se-r's. Is the blue color the same as the skyline??? I always wondered that? All 98 SE-R's are rare (supposedly, I have not heard much info on the amount made). Supposedly they slowed production down after the 97's were stopped because of california??? Hopefully someone has some info on it! Have a good one!

97's were never sold in Cali because they couldn't pass the strict smog emissions. My SE-R would have been sold already, but the guy lived in Cali, go figure... I know that the PSB color came in base an SE models, but I'm not sure of how many were made. I've seen 1 of each now, a base, SE, and SE-R(other than mine). The only copper one around here is owned by Ben B.

very good point. Sorry for wrong information. I did see a 96 se-r that was blue! It was weird because I asked for the production date and it was 1/96 (This was at a dealership). Did they also make them in 96??? that is another question that stumps me! Have a good one!

The blue was only made in 97... Thomas had his painted from black to the PSB, but other than that, it was only on 97's.

My production date was 11/96.

That is probably what it means. Mine is 509879. I am not sure what it means? My car was built in 12/96 (HA HA, my car is newer!!!) LOL, jk! Your car has lower mileage than mine by 10k. I think the VIN on yours just states how many cars were produced in that month. So you figure 9879-7= 9872 cars were produced in one month! That is pretty impressive! Where did you get your car from??? This is a pretty interesting discussion! Have a good one!

I actually picked mine up used from a chevy dealership. My gf had a camaro at the time and we took it in to get an oil change, and there it was!!! I got it 11/98 with 21K on it for $11,400. I've had it almost 4 years and have only put 35K on it...

Some things have just come up, so I may need to pull my car from being for sale for a few months... I'm not sure. I've got a guy coming Saturday to probably buy it, so I'll have to decide quickly.

I just got a set of Halo lights for my car and they are definitely badass! I just wish they came in black to begin with. I put in the order to nis-knacks 2 weeks ago and still haven't recieved anything yet... They don't have a direct line anymore either.

Speaking of Copper SE-Rs,
I love those. They are rare too, but I must admit I've seen two of those here in North Jersey. As for the smurfs, I've never seen one with my own eyes. But if we're speaking about any car being "rare", then we can all say that any 200sx SE-R is "rare". That why people like Mark fly out to other states to pick up the car.
