Anyone goto Moroso Sport Compact Nationals today/yesterday?? How was it? Race results?! I couldnt make it :(

I WENT AND IT SUCKED! The car show judges don't know the difference between their ass and a hole in the ground. My friend got ROBBED out of the Nissan catagory. Must be nice to be friends with the judges. There were sucky ass vendors there. I saw a couple of classics, and one black 200sx with a FMIC. I'm really pissed that I spent $15 to get in. What is happening to the import scene??!!

There weren't too many race cars there either. Maybe the pros didn't want to trailer the cars this far south with all the rain we were expecting? :(

The 10 second all motor Honda was impressive.

Sorry your boy didn't win the Nissan catagory. I guess if you don't have 5 LCD screens, a DVD, 2 PS2s, and glitter paint, you ain't $hit. :rolleyes:

The reason the event sucked is because it was a Moroso sponsored event, they always suck, which is why I wasnt there.

If Nopi or Nira sponsored it, it would have been a whole different story.

Do you know if, and when they're going to be there again? The Moroso sponsored events are a JOKE.

Moroso just doesnt have the money for payouts like NIRA/NOPI does. Untill they payouts go up, there events will always suck.

Well the import scene isn't dead, they've just moved on to a better track. Ever since the NHRA sucked all the drag events that were held at Moroso into its ever powerful grip, the events at Moroso have sucked. All the big money cars only go to NHRA sanctioned events because thats where the publicity, fame, and money is. They could care less about some rinky-dink locally sponsored import event. The owners of Moros do not want to spend the money to redo the track and thats why NHRA no longer brings the summit import drag racing series to WPB anymore. Why take it there if Gainseville has an AWESOME track? For all who have never been there, plan a road trip to Gainsevilel for the next Summti event. That is truly outta hand and that is where you will see all the topguns fromt he magazines etc etc. Someday the Moroso Motorsports Park gurus will see the light and make us a decent track and once again you will see big events here close to home..

I agree that Gainsville has the nicest track I've ever seen. BUT there were less people at the NIRA event that they held then the worst Moroso event. Granted it was the first, but it was bad enough that I haven't went back since.
