I will be building a race car. All I have is a 95 purple 200sx SE-R and a bluebird motor so far, which I bought. I want to know if you guys on the forum would want to sponsor me to build this car. I spent all day today and yesrterday gutting out the car and getting it ready to go to body shop. All of the work will be done by me except for some fabrication work. I will be asking for donations of $20-$100 per person. If you do not want to help out thats fine. If I get enough money here on the board I will be putting the SR20DEFORUM sticker on the front and back glass of the car. Here is what the car will run 9.2-8.8 sec and the car will put down between 700-800 WHP. I figure the total cost of the car will cost me between $16,000-$20,000 to build. If we as a group can get together and build a car we will be able to put these Hondas to shame. If you notice there is not that many SR20DE cars running all out and if we can get all of our support behind one car we can kick some ass.

I think thats a cool idea Andreas, to represent the nissan croud. Especially with someone of your calibur, but I just have a hard time sending money to someone else for their car, lets face it it will be yours. And i probally will never see it, ide in it or even drive it :D. im not trying to bust a bubble just voicing my opinion. it it made me feel guilty when you said,

I can't donate any money to this cause. I already got some friends from back home that are in that class with a Neon. Darryl Cox and Mike Crawford. I know that there new motor for the new Neon made 920+ hp to the wheels and the old green Neon ran a 9.07 with less hp and alot less chassis work as the new Neon which hasnt been ran yet. So look out for the Mopar and Phatridez sponsered Neon. They also buit Scot Mohler's engine for his all motor Neon which runs 10.70's. And that isnt all that they have built I could go on about all that they have built. Maybe even my SR20DE. (hahaha)

So what happens to the money after your big plans fall through?

One way or the next if no one send cash I will build the car. My time frame is 1year and 3 months by myself. If I get help I will speed it up. WhiteSER why are you so negative? Why do you think my plans will fall through? If I say I am doing something I do it, I do not have time for negative talk.

to spare I'd probably contribute to such a project but I have a little project of my own going on. Just a suggestion but have you tried contacting some of the companies thats parts you'll be utilizing? I realize that some of the parts you'll be using will probably be custom made..but not all. With the times you plan on running..the companies would have lots to gain by way of the publicity. Good Luck with your project!

This Post has nothing to do with making my car faster, all it is about is getting a SE-R to compete with the Hondas. All I am saying is, I do not have enough money on my own to get a car going or to get the best parts to compete. If you do not want to help thats OK. I just thought if we as a group could rally around one car we would have something to be proud off. I wll tell you it is very hard to spend that type of money on a car just for fun. Ask yourself why Ben Benavidas and Jamie Farre are out of the game as far as Racing SE-Rs go. Answer funds. I am sure when these guys run great times you are the first to be happy to own a SE-R and you are the same guys that start talking crap with the Honda guys. Well The fact is the Honda boys are kicking our asses because we have no UNITY in our group. THINK ABOUT. If one person can not get a car done well why cant we as a group get the job done. If you dont like my offer to build a SR20DEFORUM car then I will just kill the subject and I will get around to it myself in the next year or two as I save up my money.
