Hi forum,
Just bought a 1994 se-r red with 103,000 miles from the original owner .. the car was well maintained and in pretty good shape.
Few problems the blower doesn;t work in 1 and 4 the trunk lever next to the driver seat doesn;t work the clutch is pretty solid brakes are new and the oils rings need to be changed but the compression came out 180 all cylinders leak down test came out good and no leaks tranny is ok.. guess what i paid? i live near los angeles
I have ABS and sunroof
Any help on fixing the switch and oil rings would be appreciated..

Welcome to the board as well. If the blower only works on 4 its an easy fix. But it looks like you are saying that it doesn't work on 1 and 4?

The fan problem is a resistor gone bad isn't it? The trunk thing, open your trunk with the key and then look down at the mechanism. There's a square hole in the vertical sheetmetal where there is a metal tab. Push up on it. Now try the release. It's an anti-theft thing I guess, keeps someone from getting into your trunk even though they got into the car. Congrats on the car. I just got mine about two months ago. Paid too much for it, but wasn't willing to wait any longer nor drive any further. :)

Congrats.
The blower resistor needs to be replaced. ~$30 IIRC. The symptoms it produces varies, but it always involves one or more settings not working.
Call up Courtesy, tell them whats wrong, and they'll throw the correct part your way.

I paid $500 for my Mexican 1993 SE-R. It only had a few problems with it (leaking power steering line), shot suspension, torn CV boot, balding tires, minor quarterpanel damage (no frame damage). Everything else works and is fine and it's a highport to boot. Beat that. =)

wasn't looking for a fixer upper cause could have bought one for 300 bucks running but why by a something that has so many problems cause most people that own these car race them I wanted one that was babied....
