ok i know that this doesnt seem to be a big issue bu it is reall startin to get on my nerves. :mad: you know the pegs in the hatch that are used to hold the stings to the cover shelf??? well one of mine is broken off. i tried to think of a way to put somethin to replace it but i cant just stick in a screw cause of the insulation on the other side of the plastic.
does anyone have a suggestion? i want to fix it ** the other peg breakes too:(

that happened to me too, i just took the whole thing out.. i tinted my windows so nobody could see what was in the back. I couldnt think of a way to fix it so i did the next best thing.. didnt.

Why don't you go to your nearest nissan dealer and order replacements..I got some for mine, they were like 3 bucks apiece......just a thought..................

I was able to glue mine back on with a strong epoxy !!

They work perfect i even glued the other one in just to be safe.....something like GOOP or other epoxys should work ..i think even super glue might work....the lid isnt that heavy when lifted at two points not to mention it is just pivoting so its not like u need somethin too strong...just durable..

those things broke 3 times on me! finally i just never replaced it and took mine off...i have my windows tinted too

kinda off subject but does anyone know how much it is to replace the hydraulic or whatever keeps the trunk open after you lift it up? mine just falls down...the first time it happened (before it was broken) the trunk just fell and almost cut my fingers off!

Yeah, mine broke too a few months back... What i did was went to the nearest hardware store and got some screws, washers and nuts, drilled holes through everything and mounted them on that way.. i would take a picture of it but im at college and dont have my car :(
But anyway it turned out pretty good and holds strong. looks fine too.
