ive seen a gtir tranny break after an intake and exhaust was put on (@12psi) albeit was a 6000rpm launch that did it. Get your stuff cryo'd or talk to Level 10 cause youll need a new one pretty soon

Level 10 is a premier manufacturer of perfromance upgrades for AUTOMATIC transmissions. If you have an auto, give em a call.

you have to at least have the case welded and upgrade the clutch. You may want to think about having the gears cryoed, and you will probably want to run redline shockproof gear oil. How long your tranny lasts wil have alot to do with your driving style.

There are also some gearsets available from Australia that are supposed to be significantly better. Mike K. is about to acquire a set to do some testing with. The price is around USD $2600 IIRC.

How much would it cost to get my gears cryo treated?

www.sr20development.com also does tranny treatments. Weld up the case will save a lot on ur tranny considering thats what usually breaks. When I did my GTi-R I realized that i think it's 3 bolt holes don't line up and can't be used. I don't know if ur aware of this. Just a little helpfull info.
