: timing issue?

I've been having issues with my new turbo setup.. It runs great at partial throttle boost, but when I floor it, the car bogs. It hesitates to turn much over about 6500rpm. I hooked a Techtom MDM100 up to it.. and I noticed that the timing drops down to about 8 degrees at WOT. At partial throttle, it's at about 25-35 degrees total advance and it makes awesome power. Is this timing thing correct? Or is something causing the timing to be severely retarded. I have plenty of fuel... and the timing is the only thing I can see..

mine too. I ahve the techtom and it drops the timing at WOT to 8-11. I haven't noticed any issues with that, I usually look at the o2 sensor voltage at WOT and mine will go to .90 - .94 at WOT. I don't have any hesitation at WOT, so maybe it isn't a timing issue?

I'm sure you know far more then I do, but won't the knock sensor pull timing if it detects a knock or is bad?
