A few days ago i was driving my classic and out of the blue it started acting funny, the RPM's would race all crazy then the it would die after a few miles of driving it. This had happened to me last year after i had installed the air intake, my thinking was that it might have been a computer problem but when i had took it to my mechanic it had all of a sudden stopped and hadn't doen it up until a few days ago, im hoping its nothing bad that i might blow another engine since i'm not made outta money, any thought as to what it might be ? Maybe it's running rich/lean? i dunno any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanx guys.......

Since you say you were messing with the air filter, I am going guess that you knocked a wire loose on the MAF sensor.
