we need input to. Will you have access to the dyno #'s?

I dont understand it, everyone wants results on these cams, but nobody has the june 2000 SCC issue. IIRC, they were stronger than JWT S3/S4 on the bottom end, and about the same up top.

do u remember how much the tomei cams cost vs. the jwt s3/s4?

I had these cams in my 99 SE-L and was very impressed. I never actually ran a dyno on these, but they pulled very hard. With the JWT solid motor mounts they had a rough idle but I loved it!!!!:D

there was an dyno test of those cams in a back issue this year in Turbo magazine.

I was curious about this too. When I asked about tomei cams on other forums, Mike K told me bad things about Tomei cams. I didn't quite get it why, because people in Japan are loving their cams on SR20s.

I have the June 2000 Issue of SCC.
I was just looking for it because of this thread and it popped up outta nowhere!

Now what do you need?

the Tomei cams look to be just as good as the S3's
for about 30 dollars less. They are also using the UPRD ecu though.

What is a UPRD ecu?

FastNX

no, they used a g-force ECU for the non- JWT cams
Any chance you could scan that tomei graph please???

I tell you its a g-force ECU! I think it's by Tectom, the same company that makes the MDM-100

:D You're right. "UPRD's ECU tuning wing was formerly known as G-Force Engineering" Straight from the June 2000 SCC issue.

found the link

http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/0106tur_sr20cams/index.html

here is a quote from the site

"With the Sentra strapped to the Dynamic Autosports dyno, we laid a foundation of 133hp and 125.0 lb-ft of torque. With the Tomei cams installed, the SR20DE engine pumped out 141.9 hp and 127.0 lb-ft of torque.
A peak of 8.9 was realized. but 10 to 15 hp was found in the high rpm range from 6000 rpm to redline"
