Not sure about the Nissan emlem. I peeled the 200sx off with my fingers ans used some adhesive remover for the left over sticky stuff. Looks good. I left the SER on though.

there would be two holes visible if you take off the emblem.

from what I've heard anyone who has removed the 200sx and se-r tags had the same problem. seems that the factory put the clear coat over the emblems, so if you take those off you will notice the outline of the tags in the paint because you take off the clear coat as well. anyone with experience?

and to my knowledge, the trunk emblem is self adhesive like the tags, therefore there shouldn't be any holes. but then again, what do i know

That is some funny shit! I have the same outline problem. I took them off and the outline of the clearcoat was there. I guess there was a defect in the trunk or something??? I asked the original owner and he said that the Dealership had to do something with the trunk because of some type of mishap at the factory!

About the Nissan emblem: There will be 2 holes behind it! How do I know: My girlfriend made me take off all of her eblems and there are 2 holes.

The only thing people have been telling me about the clearcoat is that they can wetsand it down and it will be fine! Any other suggestions? Thanks

My 2oosx is barly visable. I did it on both my cars and you can only really see it if you are looking for it.

I have the same outline..however my wonderful (hmm do i sense sarcasm) mid nineties super black paint is faded enough that it doesnt really matter; and the only time i even notice the holes on the back of the trunk lid is when im washing the car and spray em with the hose! hehe i never did look to see if much water goes in there..................

mine have been off since before i got it, and i have only been able to even see where they were once, and that was at a poorly lit gas station at a weird angle.

I wish it was that easy. Your talkin about emblem gew being rubbed off. I have clear coat outlines of my emblems. I will have to hope for wetsanding and buffing! Good luck with your emblem removing, looks like I am stuck with them!! Have a good one!

The outline is actuly what your paint should look like if it wernt for faiding for the sun and what not. If you take off the Nissan logo there WILL be two holes that need to be filled. Simple body work would take care of this which I am doing now to my car. I dont have the outlines on my car making thing the owner before me had it covered or somthing like that.
