: Where to get ES motor mounts?

I though ES made motor mounts, not just inserts but nobody lists them. I'd prefer to just buy the mounts rather than buy OEM ones and put inserts in. Nopi, ptuning, motivational, nobody lists the mounts, do they even exist? I asked the guy at motivational in an e-mail and the retread didn't asnwer when he replied.

I just took a look through ES's website, and I didn't see any mounts other than tranny mounts, so I'm guessing they only make inserts. NOPI has the master kit for like $126, Suspension.com was $124. I'm going to order them from NOPI since I'm going to order their cheap $34 STB, $20 clutch cable and a T.O. bearing. I think I might have to order new torque mounts though, someone was saying that in older SR20's that the inserts won't fit, anyone know exactly what years they'll fit into and what ones they won't? Thanks for your help. :)

I have a 92 nx2k and i ordered the 4 set of inserts from www.courtesyparts.com for 70 bucks. YOu have to press them in yourself, or take it to a show to do it for you. Its not that hard to press them though. I know some people on the forum will sell fully pressed es mounts into the stock mounts for usually 120 bucks or so. I have seen adreas miko offer these. Also, jwt makes full on mounts that arent pressed, but are all completely solid. I think they go for around 250 bucks. Iits all about how much you want to spend and how much/little work u feel like doing.

If your looking for the whole mount, not just an insert, I believe Place Racing sells a set. I know ES dosn't. You can check out Place's here (http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/august02/pr_g20_mounts/).

Nismo I am going to get the Passenger and drivers side M mount inserts soon. Did you Press them in yourself? If so would a vice be up to the task? i used my vice to get the dog mounts in and I am a little worried about the Pass. mount.

You should be.
Actually the hard part wasn't taking the old one out, it was putting the new one in. But with a little creativity, anyhting is possible. If you are using a vice, here's what I recommend: To press the old one, make a spacer about the size of the old mount that's coming out. It must be as big as the rubber part AND the little metal ring around it. I took a piece of 2x4x4 lumber and worked it down to a circle the size of the mount. Now use that to force the mount out of the aluminum, using a propane torch to heat it up. Ypou will obviously also need a ring on the other end of the vice to make sure you're not just pressing the mount from both sides!!
It's not all that hard, but may take an hour or so to press the mount out and the new one in.
IMO the torque mounts helped much more than the other two.

I'v efound that the inserts are pretty easy to do... just lube them up real good, put on some gloves with good grip, and press them in by hand using your wieght and a screwdriver to press the edges in. I got the side and front mounts in pretty quick. I still havent put the rear one in yet, because I had the Stealin Lower arm brace... I had to take that off firsts to get the cross member off... ran outta time so i must do it another day.

Hopefully Sat I'll install my new exhaust, add the motor mount and replace my lower arm brace...

Its so easy to press them in. Find a car...find a jack...and find some lube...and find 2 pieces of wood.

Put the mount strategically on top of the wood so that it doesn't rock around, put the lube on the insert, and jack the car up so you can put the wood, mount and insert under the tire. When you let the car down slowly, it will press into place.

Well NOPI definately sucks. They called me today, they don't have the ES bushings either. So they're 0-4. I'll call them back to check and see if they've got any of their other cheap STB's but after that I'm through with them for awhile.

I also used the tire press technique and found it worked well... I used a screwdriver to prod the bushing a bit and keep it centered as I lowered the tire/car down. (Don't use your fingers please...)

I found that liquid dish soap worked well as a lubricant. You can easily wash any leftovers off after the mount is installed.
