guys, i need ur answers...(BIGTOM, VE'rs, ANYONE!!)

does someone know if all sr20de fwd manual transmission gear ratios are the same?? specifically the Se-r and the JDM Primera!!!

and do they have the same axles?

and which is better to use wd the SR20VE, the sr20de manual tranny or the sr16ve manual tranny??? why??

I found a fwd sr18de in a local shop, and it has a tranny(still dont know if its manual) can you use this tranny to the SR20VE???

can you use the SR20VE 6 spd CVT ECU with the SR20DE manual tranny??? anyone done this???

we dont have SE-R's here in the Philippines, what axles do i use wd the DE tranny to fit into my B12 4 door disc brakes??
shall I use the JDM Primera DE axles?? will they fit the B!2??

BTW my B12 have the E13s carb-type engine, so it doesn't have
an ECU, not like the b12 in U.S. so what's the easiest way to do with the rewiring of the SR20VE harness???

(BIGTOM, you told me that it is possible but I forgot to tell you that my B12 is a carb-type one....and we dont have SE-R's in the Philippines)

my project's progress is very slow beacuse my friend is still finding a VE for me in Japan...and still no sign of it..

I need ur answers guys so i would know what tranny and axles to use wd the SR20VE into my 4 door b12...and also the rewiring of the harness as well.

thanks..

When it comes to ratios you can be pretty sure that they are closer and that the final gear is higher on a GT transmission than touring transmission.

I'm using a stock VE ECU from a 6 speed CVT with my 5 speed manual DE touring transmission. We had no problems except that we needed to find the pins on the VE ECU that gave the signal to the solenoids!

did you have the "check engine" light on?? what harness did you use?

I downloaded your video clips, but i cant view the video, only the sound, anyway this is the first time to hear a screaming VE!!!

woooooooonnngggggg whhhaaaaannnngggg aaaaahhhhhhnnnnggggggg!!!! yeah!!!! i love that scream!!!!!

I edited the title of the thread but it did not change?? why???

Yep we are fast here on this forum! Both the cars and the help from people! ;)

Thanx for all the kind words! :)

Yep stock tranny! - Nope with GT I just mean the 150HP SR20DE engine! - At least in Europe there is difference in the ratio from the 130HP touring model tranny to the 150HP touring tranny

No check engine light on for me!

I used the harness from my SR20DE engine and just pulled two new wires from the VE ECU to the solenoids! :) - I had the original VE harness, so it was easy for me to find out which pins the solenoids got their signal from! :)

You have to download the driver I have posted a link to a couple of post down in the movie thread to get it to show the picture! :)

Yep it is a NIIICE sound!! It is EASY to get addicted!

here in the Phillipines, we have the Bluebird Altima that have the High port [/B]Sr20De[/B] and [/B]Sr18De[/B]... the Sr18De is 130HP, according to Nissans brochure the SR18 and SR20 have the same gear ratios as listed....and I found an SR18 in a local shop and it have a tranny, can't I use that for the VE???

BTW,is your 130HP SR there is a SR20 or SR18?

hey thanks man, now I'm gona try to download that driver(bandwith is slow) :D

anyone else out there who can help me?

some sr18s have different ratios. depends on the code that is stamped on the sticker or the case which is usually worn off after years or importing. they are only slightly different though. if you mage to find the number i can look it up and tell you what the ratios are.

well I'll get to that when my tranny arrives, thanks

Ohh man! that sr18 tranny that I saw in a local shop was an automatic...my friend told me coz he also saw it.:(

hey tom, have you done a sr20ve swap in a b12 already???

we don't have SE-r's here and I'm thinking that I wiil be using the JDM Sr20de Primera axles but I still don't know if they will fit...what do you think Tom???

and regarding the rewiring, my b12 is carburetor-type (E13 engine) so I think it would be impossible to be using its harness(if ever it has one)..so I think I'll be using the SR20VE harness and SR20VE ECU...So how's it gonna be? do you have a wiring diagram for the rewiring of the SR20VE harness and ECU to a b12? will it be easy or complicated?

I'm already getting ready for the swap even though my friend is still looking for a VE and a DE tranny(its hard to find a manual DE tranny in japan,) and I don't wanna be buying a brand new tranny and axles from the DE Altima from Nissan, it will be very expensive!!! (tranny-35K) (axles-20K i think)

so I'll be needing your help (til the end of the swap) coz yioue an expert man!

thanks...

the primera axles may have different splines at the hub end than an se-r sentra.people have put sr20de in a b12 before so there is not much difference. try to get in touch with those people.

The primera axles should fit fine, provided they are the same as the g20 axles in the us. The B12 hub shares the same spline. On my swap I had to hook up a total of seven wires i believe. For the SR20VE you really need to contact someone who can provide you with a wiring diagram. You're going to need 12 volts on several wires, ground, and a signal to the fuel pump realy at a minimum. All of these can be tapped into from your factory ECCS module located under the passenger side seat. There again, you're going to need a wiring diagram from the B12 chassis with the E13 motor. You're situation is a little more unique than the one i was faced with. You do realize you are going to have to completely fabricate mounts for the engine, upgrade the fuel pump, and extend the exhaust/shifter as well, right? If I can help feel free to PM me.

hi john,

are you the nismodriver in nissanforums.com???if yes, charles said that you used the b13 se-r axles and you replaced the b12 hubs with the b13 hubs...well i didn't bother to ask you coz i knew you used b13 se-r axles and we don't have se-r's here in the Philippines...

so you used the g20 axles and they fit the b12 disc hubs...well maybe the jdm primera and the g20 axles are the same since they are the same only diff name...

in this case i'll get the primera axles from my friend and see if they really fit...he got a jdm primera front clip..unfortunately it's an automatic so i cant get the tranny..

regarding the wiring, the e13 is not ECCS coz its the carburetor type one...so i don't think it has that harness...

btw, what tranny did you use? still from the g20??

anyway...you answered my axle problem...thanks thanks:D

gonna PM you if I have some questions...:D
