im buying the gti-r engine and putting it in my nissan nx. the engine is coming with the awd tranny, but i dont really need it. My question is.. is it possible to convert the nissan nx to awd and what would i need to do in order to make it possible?? because im getting the tranny anyway i might as well try to use it if at all possible. If not, could i sell the tranny???
Thanks,
Zack

as people will say anything is possible
I will say no YOU can't do it. it requires moving some stuff creating some bends in the floor pan and a few other things.
has a fwd car been converted to rwd, yes
for the sake of you and I unless you have tens of thousands of dollars to throw at your car for fun just leave the awd out of it.

Is it possible?
YES. Anything is possible with the right amount of money.
It would take a shitload of modifications to your undercarriage and what not.
Do you have the money?
Probably not! Atleast I would assume that the majority of us would not.

It's clearly not worth the time or money. Either buy an AWD turbo car, or import a GTI-R. If you enjoy fruitless undertakings, wasting money, and sleepless nights, be my guest. Then, once it's all done, no one will give two shits because it doesn't say Honda nor does it have the suffixes of type S or R.

I would actually be proud of someone willing to spend the time and mony to do such a thing. Would be a good match for a WRX. Both turbo both AWD:D
