OK, I've been told I have a vacuum leak on my hi-port SR20 but what is the proper procedure to track down a vacuum leak? I have visually inspected the motor while running and can't seem to find where its coming from.
If someone can break it down for me or point me to an FAQ or tech write-up, I'd appreciate it! I did do a search and didn't find anything helpful.

Spray some brake cleaner in the suspected area. If you notice a change, there's a leak of crack or tear or whatever
I think you are saying that U have some sort of hole on the intake or a hose mabye... you can chek it if you step very fast the brake and if the engine desent go to stop...mabye your sospect are right

Take off the intake tract. Rotate the engine to TDC to close the valves. Pressurize the intake system.
The easiest way to do this is to go to Home Depot and buy some soft plumbing couplings so that you can apply 15-20 psi of pressure with a compresor. Then listen for the hiss to find vacuum leaks. I've done this a million times with my turbo DSM. I just connect the adapter to the turbo inlet instead of the throttle body intake.
Mild vacuum leaks aren't really a problem in NA engines are they?
