SE-R Newbie and I were talking last night... in addition to creating the flyer, we started talking about why more people around here don't go to 1320 and AutoX events.

What we came up with is that people don't go to them because they've never been properly introduced to the events. People have misconceptions about what the events are all about and what evil :eek: they'll do to your car. A lot of people don't go to them because they don't know where to drive to, where to park, how much it'll cost, where to meet the other SE-R owners once there, and generally just don't know what to expect.

I know this pretty much sums up why I've never been to a 1320 track event... and Ed agreed this was pretty much the same reason he's never been to an AutoX.

We decided that what we'd like to do is organize a few "Newbie night outs". :cool: For example, maybe if there's any interest here, we could all meet up at a central location before heading out to the Nov. 8th 1320 event. Then those owners that have never been to a 1320 event could ride with another member that has. The newbie member wouldn't have to worry about anything and could just literally "go along for the ride". I think this would help get new people (like myself) into that side of the hobby. I'd like to do this same thing for the AutoX side... and would be happy to offer other people to ride with me.

I know this worked really well when we had the Dyno day over in Orlando. I figure a lot of people who went over that day in the convoy wouldn't of gone if they'd of had to find the location on their own... but because they didn't have to worry about it, we had more people show up.

How does this idea sound to everyone?

BTW, if anyone is going tonight (Fri. Oct. 4th)... could I meet up with you somewhere and get a ride? Kind of a mini test of the Newbie's night out idea. =)

Damn it. I didnt know it was tonight. I went last friday but ***** was there and the guy at the ticket booth said its on the 3rd Friday of the month. I guess he was a dumbass!!!
Now I feel like a dumbass. I cant go tonight at all. But I can go next month. GRRRRR!!!!!!:mad:

No, I didnt get all 4. Just the 2 front ones. My rear rims/tires are going to be the Classic SE 13'' aluminum alloys with shitty pizza cutter tires.:D You know me!! Less dough for more GO!!!!
