Okay here is the deal, i have a camaro, i love fast, i bought my 97 SER for a "FUN DAILY" But im sure most of you suffer from the cant leave anything alone sydrome too... I need MOAR POWER! So im looking to boost it, now here is where it gets fun... I have never owned a turbo car before so im unsure of what i need. Im not looking to go crazy with this setup, i basically want a stock turbo kit with a greddy BOV and a shiny FMIC :] And like 7psi is fine with me. So i have searched and searched and no one has a FULL list of what is needed to boost a fwd sr20. So someone tell me what i need, give me a rough price range i should be looking for so i dont get screwed by ebay or something, and if anyone has a FULL kit for sale, please pm me :)
Thanks in advance guys!

Well you can keep looking in the for sale section and try and find a old used turbo and stock manifold that isn't cracked. Don't forget to buy a walbro 255lph pump too to keep things safe, The Stock turbo injectors are a must since the stock n/a are 255's and are too small for safe boosting.

The cheapest ECU option is the Calum Basic Daughterboard. For ~$100 he'll install a chip programmed with a baseline tune for your particular setup. Its a good deal.
You'll also need a decent clutch. South Bend sells a good one for $265 (dxdracingclutches.com)
Boost gauge ~$50

@Lemniscate calum is out of buisness although you can find his ECU's around in the classifieds for about $200-250 I have a base map for t25 turbo with 370's that I can share if you need it.
Heres my setup which I am currently pushing 10psi to.
Competition Clutch Stage 2 clutch $292
BRM 3" stainless steel exhaust system w/resonator $500
Custom 3" stainless steel test pipe $80
VRS 3" stainless steel downpipe $299
Nissan Bluebird manifold and J-pipe w/ never used rebuilt Garrett journal bearing T25 $350
JGY 26.75L x 6.20H x 3.50D intercooler $200
Custom 2" hot side; 2.5" cold side intercooler piping with couplers and t-clamps about $250
Nissan Bluebird turbo intake pipe with stock maf and injen cone filter $80
Greddy Type RS blow off valve (running recirc) $179
Circuit Sport 250cc oil catch can $40
Calum basic ECU dyno tuned to 10psi $220 + $300 for the dyno tune
Nissan SR20DET 370cc injectors (all 4) $50
Walbro 190lph fuel pump $60
Autometers Ultra light oil pressure gauge $40
Autometers Ultra light 35psi boost/vac gauge $30
AEM UEGO Wideband A/F ratio gauge $150
AEM Tru-boost boost controller $260
Greddy Turbo timer $20
Nissport oil sending unit adapter and EGR block off plate $60
Protek 3 gauge pillar $40
Then there are all the lines and little fittings for the turbo, vacuum and water lines plus the wire for a battery relocation. Figure about another $250-300
My build was about $4000 alot of the parts I got steals on. My prices are based on what I paid from this forums classified section and from friends that were upgrading there setups.

I thought that calum is not making boards anymore..? or is he just burning chips?

Oh my... Im glad i checked this... Looks like i will have to get my camaro back up and running before i put my DD down for a turbo build...
Also, i heard instead of getting a tuned ECU i can use a stock "Bluebird" ECU? Or could i use an sr20det ECU from a jdm car? Tuning is a big concern for me because i am a HUGE fan of speed density based tuning and a lot of the tuning i have done has been without a piggyback system, and tuning my camaro is just a plug and play type of thing so its kind of like a standalone... Can anyone verify this for me?
Oh! And will the 1.6 liter things like the injectors and intercooler piping and whatnot work on an sr20?

There are two types of Bluebird ECU's: U12 & U13. The main difference between these ECU's are which MAF they're programmed for:
U12 ECU is programmed for the B13 SE-R MAF (53J)
~240HP capacity
U13 ECU is programmed for the Pulsar GTi-R MAF (54C)
~290HP capacity
With either of them you'll need 370cc injectors.

My car is an sr20. The parts car is a 1.6 GXE
Thanks for the link Shawn!
Ok so a U12 ECU And a MAF should get me what i need in that department, got it!
