i am looking for a good tire, in the 195/50/15 size. i know a few have said the Bridgestones rock, but how do they compare with the Kumho's? remember these are going on a turbo car. thanks

Let's see, how do the Bridgestones compare to the Kumhos...

I've never driven the Kumhos, so this might not be very useful, but....

the SO-3s KICK ASS!

BTW, for a turbo car, shouldn't you have more tire? Maybe a 205 at least?

go for the S0-3 for sure they are the best. I would never buy another tire, they are amazing.

YES!
What size tire are you running now?
Thje only probelm is that 205s are way more expensive that 195s in the S03s

yeah..those 712s are like a 200sx ga16. and the so-3s are like a 300zx tt. not even in the same playing field. i'm liking the g-force tires myself also.

If you are going turbo and trying to save money on tires then you are making a BIG comprimize for street driving. That turbo will spin most any street tire easily, the better the tires the less spin you will get. Get some 205/50 if at all possible. S03's are second only to BFG KD (which wont last as long and will be worse in the rain) and Azenias (even worse in the rain + other comprimizes, such as noise) and a couple others. S03 are a great all around "Super High Performance" tire, 712's are basically a "Budget High Performance" tire.

The difference in looks between a 195/50/15 and a 205/50/15 is very subtle. The sidewall won't be much taller (5mm), and you're gonna need the extra width with a turbo. Unless you like seeing expensive rubber go up in smoke!

wasn't someone complaning about tirerack not gonna sell them 195/50s because of the load rating? i'd def. go 205/50.

The kumho's are ok I guess? not bad for a budget tire. I've never had S03's, but the RE740's were 1,000,000,000,000,000 times a better performance tire that were not much more costly. The kumhos are still on my stock 15's, although I don't use them. Got Toyo's for my 17's. This is all NA. For turbo, go with the Bridgestones.
