Didn't read through the link but there is one sold in SCC. they have an article in their every month. I think its called the FAST intake or something. Not sure though.

OMG!!!! That fan looks like a fan that belongs in a computer tower or something. The funny thing is that they are like "good job mate"

I don't know that it would help, but heck it couldn't hurt. I mean it only weighs like 1lbs and it would certainly pull cold air in.

lol, gives me an idea.

I can't laugh too loud, considering how many times I have seriously considered an electric fan forced induction CAI. :p And all followed up by intense ridicule. :) Not unwarranted mind you. But this one is just funny as hell. I have like 6 of those fans that I pulled out of the power supplies of scraped computers (the fans work well for aid in cooling stereo amps and can be opreated with the power on lead from the deck). Sometimes hook them up to the battery and put near a gasket I've shellaced (sp?) to aid in it tacking up. The ducting wasn't a bad idea, but I guarantee that the CFM's flowing through the ducting will be higher than what that little fan can produce. They'll actually be slowing airflow down with it, at least when the car is moving. :) Yeah, this one makes the turbine fan look like a supercharger. Hey, who knows, maybe the fan will move fast enough from the ducted air that it'll actually produce electricity rather than consume it! ;) You gotta give 'em the credit for trying I guess.

It's not a forced induction, it's a WAI with reduced under bonnet air temperature by blowing cool air from the wheel arch cavity towards the WAI. The only boost to power this could ever achieve would be from reduced air temperature, and would be very easy to check with a remote temperature probe that could be read while driving.

Um......................NO.

I could see if it was a high velocity model airplane fan, but that piece of crap aint doing SH*T!!!

If you are going to spend money for more air then use this it will pull more air. It is still just a wast of money. IMHO electricsupercharger (http://www.electricsupercharger.com/www-electricsupercharger-com/Autoframe.htm)

electricsuperchargers are complete crap...save your money.

it may be 1psi, but how many cfm? I can blow probably 5psi through a straw ... but I'm not going to hook it up to my intake because i can't move any descent VOLUME of air at that pressure.

Ever wonder why some turbos make more power at the same pressure? Because they move more air at that pressure!!!!

you're all missing the point.

the fan isn't to force air into the intake.. it is to keep cool air flowing into the engine bay when the car is stationary. Once you start moving again the engine bay is naturally going to have air flowing in anyway.
