I believe it was done once. But why a specV swap?

My pictures never seem to show up. So I'll post it on car domain. If you want to see, search for zach96za's 97 200sx.

I dont like the 200sx dash. I never have, so i put in a spec v dash just because i could. :D

I can't remember the manifold. That was actually added a while back. I think the name is on the other side of it though. when i take it out to upgrade the turbo i'll find out. It's only a t25 right now. I don't want to do any more engine work until the whole car is completely built.

How hard was the dash to do? Its it finished I'd like to see it with everything all together. what was the total price on the swap?

hmmm... well the dash didn't line up with where the old one bolts on at all. The air vent/defogger doesn't line up at all, so you have to make that work. The line for changing where the air blows is opposite (for example, when you turn the dial on the spec to defrost your windshield, it pushes the line in. the 200 pulls it out. So if you just hook it up without care, your defrost will be air in your face). The dash gets in the way of your key turning, so you have to fix that up too. Let's see what else...Oh, the airbag doesn't line up with anything and you have to cut a lot of metal off and completely redo all that mess to even get it in. The glove box hits the blower motor. you have to rewire the gauges. And... Yeah it was just a lot, but it's in now. I got more ideas for my car while doing all this, so i'll get more pictures when I feel like i have actually progressed.

oh and to answer your other question, I did all the work myself, so it didn't cost me anything.

Looks tight, but too much hassle if it doesn't bolt right in...
